| c. | Synthetic oils may be used with written permission from manufacturer but only those based on PAO are currently acceptable and can be used with extended oil drain if sampled every 4000 hours |
| d. | Oil bath lubrication standard for horizontal shaft units and speeds between 750 and 1800 rpm for the high speed shaft. Forced lubrication may be by integral pump or external motorised pump with or without coolers |
