Lubricant / Capacity Notes

a. Caterpillar list API CH-4 and API CI-4 as preferred oils and API CG-4 as an acceptable alternative. These oils must meet Caterpillar's ECF-1 specification to avoid reduced engine life. API CF-4 should not be used in Caterpillar diesel engines
b. Caterpillar list API CG-4, API CF and CAT TO-4 as alternative specifications. These oils must have a minimum zinc content of 900 ppm
c. -20°C to 40°C
d. Alternative recommendations, -20°C to 40°C: Qualube Hi-Q-4 10; Qualube Extremol FS 10W30 / Qualube Supremol 5W30
e. Alternative recommendations, -15°C to 50°C: Qualube Hi-Q-4 30
