- a. Minimum specification; Viscosity 100°C, 65 to 75 SSU, flash point 227°C min, fire point 250°C min, carbon residue 0.15% max. General recommendation; good quality two cycle gas engine oil with foam and oxidation inhibitors. SAE 40 ashless detergent/dispersant two-cycle gas engine oil preferred. Detergent or other oils may be required under certain circumstances. Consult with manufacturer
- b. Precautions are required to prevent excessive pressure drop across filter on start up. Operation of the engine with oil viscosity greater than 2000 SSU (oil temperature lower than 21°C is not recommended. Use oil heater and circulatory pump when ambient temperature at installation falls below 21°C
