- a. Avoid heavy detergent oils or compounded oils
- b. Minimum specification: Viscosity 54 to 70 SSU at 100°C, flash point 190°C, pour point -12°C max, carbon residue (Conradson) 0.45% max, sulphated ash 0.01% max, neutralisation no. 0.10 max. Detergent oil: Viscosity at 100°C 52 to 70 SSU, Carbon residue (Conradson) 0.45% on base stock, sulphated ash 0.40% on base oil. Pour point must be at least -12°C below the ambient temperature of start up. SAE 30 ashless or low ash detergent/dispersant four cycle gas engine oil preferred. Must be on list of approved oils
